Privacy Policy

Shore Pixel ("we," "us") runs shorepixel.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email, phone number, business name, the services you tick as interesting, and the message you write, so we can reply. Those messages are delivered to us by email through Amazon Web Services.

The spam check on that form. Before a message reaches us it passes through Cloudflare Turnstile, which decides whether you are a person or a bot without asking you to click anything and without showing you a puzzle. To make that call, Cloudflare receives your IP address and some technical details about your browser. It is there to keep our inbox usable, and we do not get a profile of you out of it. Server logs. The site runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs including IP addresses. We use those to keep the site up and to debug failures, such as a contact form message that did not send.

Basic traffic counting. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs for every visitor. It is switched on at our hosting level rather than added as a tracking script, it sets no cookies, and it does not follow you from site to site. It tells us aggregate things only: which pages get looked at, which sites link to us, roughly how fast pages loaded. There is nothing in it that identifies you.

Session recording and heatmaps. If you accept cookies, we also use Microsoft Clarity, and we want to be direct about what it does: it records your visit. That means the pages you open, where you move and click, and how far you scroll. We watch those recordings back to find the places where people get stuck, and then we fix them.

What it does not capture: anything you type. Text you enter into a form field is masked before it ever leaves your browser, so your name, email, phone number, and message are never part of a recording. Recordings are tied to a random ID rather than to you by name. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not try to work out who you are from them. Clarity is a Microsoft product, so Microsoft's privacy statement covers it too.

Clarity is the only thing here that uses cookies or records a visit, and the only one behind the Accept button. If we add another, it will be listed here under the same gate.

What we don't load

No advertising or social media trackers, no Facebook pixel, no embedded videos that phone home. Our two typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts, so rendering this page does not hand your IP address to a third party. Apart from the providers listed below, nothing on this site talks to anyone else.

Cookies

We do not set analytics cookies, and we do not record anything, until you accept. Microsoft Clarity loads only after you click Accept on our cookie banner. Click Decline and it never runs. Your choice is stored in your browser so we don't ask again, and you can change it anytime with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

How long we keep it

Messages you send us stay in our email as long as we are working together or talking about it, and we delete them on request. Session recordings live with Microsoft and age out on their retention schedule, and we can delete yours sooner if you ask. Cloudflare's request logs roll off on their own short schedule.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, provide our services, and improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we don't send marketing emails you didn't ask for.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that help us run the site: Amazon Web Services (delivering contact form messages to our inbox), Cloudflare (hosting, the bot check on the form, and the cookieless traffic counting), and Microsoft (Clarity session recording, only if you accept cookies). Each has its own privacy policy. We do not share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it.

Your choices

You can decline cookies, which also means your visit is never recorded. You can change your mind either way with the Cookie settings link in the footer. And you can ask us to delete any information you've sent us, or any recording of your visit. Just email hello@shorepixel.com and we'll take care of it.
